The issuance of tree-cutting permit to national agencies like the Department of Public Works and Highway (DPWH) now falls to the function of Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (Cenro).

Before, the Regional Executive Director was in charge of issuing tree-cutting permit to national agencies, said forest technician II Lordjim Ellano from Cenro Bagac in the program “Bataan at Kalikasan” 91.1 Sikat FM. He said DPWH, DepEd, NIA, CHED, DOTr, and other national agencies now get tree-cutting permit from Cenro.

For planted trees, Cenro will issue the tree-cutting permit. For naturally grown trees, special tree-cutting permit will be issued.
